TNPSC Group 2 & 2A Post Official Revised Syllabus

Hi friend, Welcome to CK TUTOR. Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) conducts Combined Civil Services Examination - II (CCSE-II) for different posts in Tamil Nadu. Detailed information about Group 2 & 2A posts has been given below.

Group 2 (Interview Posts)

Group 2 Posts has been done by three rounds.

 

The First-round will be a Preliminary exam. This round will be on the basis of Multiple Choice Questions for 300 marks. This round does not have negative marks. The duration of this exam will be 3 hours. Candidates must score a minimum qualifying mark of 90 for all communities. 175 marks for General Studies and 25 marks for Aptitude and Mental Ability Test. Total marks will be 200.

 

The Second-round will be a Main Written Examination. This round will be on the basis of Descriptive Type. Paper - I will be SSLC standard level. Total Marks will be 100 marks. Duration will be 1 hour 30 minutes. The minimum qualifying marks will be 25 marks. Paper-II will be degree standard level questions. The total marks will be 300 marks. The duration will be 3 hours. Candidates who do not score minimum qualifying marks in Paper - I will not be considered for the evaluation of Paper-II.

Note: Marks scored in Paper - I will not be considered for the selection process. Marks scored in Paper-II alone will be considered for the selection process.

The Third Round will be an Interview Round. This round will be on the basis of an Oral Test. Total marks will be 40 marks. The total marks for Main Written Examination is 340 marks. The minimum qualifying marks for all communities will be 102 marks out of 340 marks.

Group 2 A (Non - Interview Posts)

Group 2A non-interview posts will not have an Interview round. The first round and the second round will be done combined. The interview round will not be conducted for Group 2A posts. Total marks for the main written examination will be 300 marks. The minimum qualifying marks for all communities will be 90 marks.

Unit 9 - Development Administration in Tamil Nadu

Unit 10 - Aptitude and Mental Ability

Group 2 & 2A Posts - Main Written Examination Topics

Title 1 - Tamil to English translation

Title 2 - English to Tamil translation

 

Paper-I 

 

Title 1 - Precis Writing 

Title 2 - Comprehension

Title 3 - Hints Development 

Title 4 - Essay writing on the following topics from Thirukkural

 

(a) Significance as a Secular literature

(b) Relevance to Everyday life

(c) Impact of Thirukkural on Humanity

(d) Thirukkural and Universal Values - Equality, Humanism etc.

(e) Relevance to Socio - Politico - Economic affairs

(f) Philosophical content in Thirukkural 

 

Title 5 - Letter Writing - Official   

 

Group 2 Posts - Interview

 

Oral Test 

 

This round will be on the basis of an Oral Test. Total marks will be 40 marks.
